Living in a horse trailer wasn't on my list of goals or priorities as a child but here I am. Trailers vary in size and my living space is a tiny 118 square feet; small but I love it!
Growing up in the 1960's one was expected to continue the family dynamic by getting married and raising children. However, my dreams were much bigger. I remember starring out a window of a high school classroom knowing there was so much more to learn from life "out there". My visions were to become an architect, which meant college, own horses, and be free to be me, whatever that entailed. None of those options were forthcoming so marriage was my choice. After ten years and a divorce I left my New England roots and headed for Texas discovering in the process that I was a good person, contrary to comments from my father and husband, and I liked myself.
Not one to sit idle, I started several businesses, got my precious horses, and began riding in competitive trail and endurance, flew as a mission pilot for the Civil Air Patrol, became a family caregiver for nineteen years when no one else stepped forward, and when that ended it was six months before I realized I was finally free to have the life that awaited me. I sold everything, moved into my horse trailer and the rest, as they say, is history.
Even if you have never been near a horse you can still benefit from information learned here. Many people I've met while traveling or in casual conversation have commented, "I so want to do what you are doing!" My message; if I can do it, so can You. LIVE YOUR DREAM! Create Your lifestyle blog!
